According to Tadeusz Czubała’s guide published in 1959, there were 6 phone boxes and 8 payphones (operating upon inserting money) in Nowa Huta, 3 in bars, 2 in restaurants, and 1 in the Stylowa Café; the remaining ones were at the seat of the Presidium of the District National Council on the Zgody Estate, and one at the Administrative Centre.
